Opera in a Biomass Plant!

5J8A5518-1

A new double bill of Riders to the Sea by Vaughan Williams and Cupboard Love by Madeleine Dring opens on the 18th June at Eden Energy Centre in Guardbridge. This is a site-specific production performed inside a biomass plant. The production will then tour to Benbecula and Berwick-upon-Tweed.

This double-bill presents two completely contrasting portrayals of how humanity deals with death; from the extreme sadness of grief and loss in Riders to the Sea to the dark, surreal and absurd in Cupboard Love.

This project is produced by Byre Opera, directed by PJ Harris, designed by Anna Yates with choreography by Liz Ranken.
